Fifth Supervisory Board Meeting

The fifth Supervisory Board Meeting of the ITN S2S-Future network was held online on the 15th of November 2022. The agenda of the meeting consisted of the following topics: the third ITN Summer Institute "Inside Africa", the budget, deliverables, secondments, outreach and vulgarisation of research results, and the presentation of ESR 13 Ekta Aggarwal. The members of the network got acquainted with the itinerary and logistics of the forthcoming Summer Institute “Inside Africa”, which will take place in Namibia in May 2023. Furthermore, the common budget, including the current expenditures as well as future projections, were presented by the project coordinators. Subsequently, there was a brief recap of the forthcoming scientific deliverables for 2023  and the discussion on the secondment planning. Moreover, an important section of the meeting was dedicated to the outreach and vulgarisation activities, notably popularisation of S2S concepts through publications for non-specialists written/translated into different European languages. Finally, Ekta Agagrwal ESR 13 presented her research and training progress and was complimented on remarkable achievements.

The next Supervisory Board meeting is planned for April 2023, during EGU in Vienna.
